Yes — Zodian is fully free during the public beta (through Q4 2026). Tamil jathagam, daily rasi palan, panchang, horai, muhurtham and porutham are all included with no paywall. After beta, the core nine tools will always be free; we'll add optional Pro features later.

Your Zodian birth chart includes the Rasi (D-1) chart in both North and South Indian formats, all 16 vargas (Navamsa, Bhava, Dasamsa, Saptamsa and the rest), planet positions with degrees and nakshatra placements, Vimshottari dasa for 120 years, current mahadasa and antardasa, and aspects between planets.

Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) by default, with Drik Ganitha for high-precision panchang — the same precise math that drives temple panchangam pulpits. KP and Raman ayanamsa are togglable in Settings → Calculation.

Zodian uses the Swiss Ephemeris with Lahiri ayanamsa by default. Rasi palan, daily tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, rahu kalam and yamagandam are calculated for your local timezone — not pre-baked from a Chennai-only printed panchangam.

Open the Calendar tab and tap any date — Zodian shows you the day's tithi, nakshatra, rahu kalam, yamagandam, gulika kalam and the green/yellow/red windows for muhurtham. Tap a window to see why a slot is auspicious or which event it suits (marriage, signing, travel, puja).

Yes. The Match tile runs the traditional 10-porutham checks — Dinam, Ganam, Mahendram, Stree-Deergham, Yoni, Rasi, Rasi-Adhipathi, Vasiyam, Rajju and Vedham — between two saved birth profiles. You get a per-porutham breakdown plus an overall compatibility summary, in Tamil and English side by side.

Rahu kalam, yamagandam and gulika kalam are computed for your current location and timezone on the Calendar tab. We calculate them from sunrise to sunset for your latitude, so the windows are accurate to the day and city.

Horai is the planetary hour that rules a given moment. Each day is split into 24 horai windows, each owned by one of seven planets. Zodian's Horai tile shows the active horai live and highlights upcoming ones — use Surya/Guru/Sukra horai for important calls or signing; avoid Sani/Rahu horai for travel and major decisions.

English and Tamil are fully supported today. Hindi is in active translation, targeting Q3 2026. Telugu and Kannada follow once we have native reviewers — DM us if you'd like to help. The underlying calculations work identically for any South Indian tradition; only the on-screen language differs.

Birth profiles live on your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). If you opt in to cross-device sync, an encrypted copy is stored in our Firebase project so your phone, tablet and family devices stay in sync. Sync off = nothing leaves your phone. Yes — open any saved profile, tap the menu, then Export PDF. It includes Rasi, Navamsa, Bhava and a 36-page Vimshottari dasa breakdown.
